It's great to have Jon back after his week-long work camp (cleaning out our apt). Yesterday to reward him for all his hard work, I had him weigh and reweigh and reweigh our twelve 50-lb boxes for the plane. After much shuffling and adjusting and taping and stacking we have our boxes ready. Our objective for today is to clean my dad's villa, pack our suitcases, organize our carry-ons, and oh-yah, have a little fun.Tomorrow we have a couple hotel rooms reserved (compliments of Zayed University) not so much for sleeping in, but to make use of the hotel's shuttle to get our luggage and ourselves to the airport in one trip. We are hoping the girls will get a few hours sleep before we leave in the middle of the night - but I think they'll be too excited to settle down. From start to finish our trip will take 32 hours. yikes.
